Privacy Policy — Tarot Me
Effective date: September 12, 2026
This policy explains what data the Tarot Me apps handle. It covers two separate apps:
- Tarot Me (the free, ad-supported app) — shows rewarded ads and offers an optional ad-free subscription.
- Tarot Me Offline (the paid app) — collects no data at all. It contains no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts, and never contacts a server. If you use Tarot Me Offline, the rest of this policy does not apply: everything you create stays on your device.
The app is operated by Saradao ("we", "us"). Contact: saradaodeveloper@gmail.com.
What stays on your device (both apps)
Your readings, journal notes, moods, custom spreads, deck skins, and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive, transmit, or have access to them. Deleting the app deletes this data.
We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or health data. The apps have no user accounts.
What the free app (Tarot Me) collects
The free app uses third-party SDKs that collect limited data. We do not operate our own servers or profiles — data goes directly to these providers:
Advertising — Google AdMob
To show rewarded ads, Google AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android), approximate location (derived from IP address), device information, and ad-interaction data. On iOS this is used for tracking only if you allow it via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline (or you're in a region requiring consent and you decline), you still see ads, just non-personalized ones. See Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Subscription management — RevenueCat
If you view or purchase the ad-free subscription, RevenueCat processes your purchase history and a randomly-generated app user ID (not tied to your name or email) to manage your entitlement and restore purchases. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card or billing details. See RevenueCat's policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Analytics — Firebase Analytics
To understand how the app is used, Firebase Analytics collects app-usage events (e.g. a reading was pulled, the paywall was viewed), a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, device/OS information, and approximate (IP-based) location. We never attach your identity to these events, and we log no reading content or journal text. This build does not collect the advertising identifier for analytics.
Crash reporting — Firebase Crashlytics
To fix crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports (stack traces, device state, OS version) and a pseudonymous installation identifier. No personal identity is attached.
Firebase is provided by Google: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Consent and your choices (free app)
- EEA / UK (GDPR): on first use of ads, we show Google's consent form. You can accept or decline, and change or withdraw your choice any time from Settings → Privacy options. Analytics and crash-reporting collection follow your consent choice — decline and we collect nothing.
- iOS tracking: you control ad tracking via the system App Tracking Transparency prompt, and can change it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Ad personalization / US state privacy: where applicable, you can opt out of personalized ads through the same in-app Privacy options.
- Declining any of the above does not remove ads — it makes them non-personalized.
How the data is used
- Advertising: to serve and measure rewarded ads.
- Subscription: to unlock and restore the ad-free entitlement.
- Analytics: to understand usage and improve the app.
- Crash reporting: to diagnose and fix stability problems.
We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention
On-device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data held by the SDK providers is retained per their own policies (linked above). You may request deletion of any data associated with you by contacting saradaodeveloper@gmail.com.
Security
Data transmitted by the SDKs is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). On-device data is protected by your device's standard app-sandbox protections.
Children
The apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
International transfers
The SDK providers above are US-based; using the free app may involve transferring the limited data described here outside your country, under those providers' safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Effective date" above reflects the latest version.
